Privacy Policy
Verse (freeverse.stream) is a free AI music generator. This policy explains what Verse stores when you use it and why. Verse has no accounts: there is no sign-up, no password, no payment and no name or e-mail collected by the service.
What we store
- Anonymous session cookie. A random identifier in a cookie named
lounge_session(HttpOnly, about one year). It lets Verse recognise your browser so you can play your own songs and keep the same anonymous lounge name. It is not linked to your real identity. - Anonymous lounge name. A generated two-word name (for example “Silver Echo”) attached to your session.
- Song requests and songs. The lyrics, genre, mood, vocal style and length you submit, the generated audio of the full song, a separate 15-second preview, and request status and timestamps.
- Render Lounge activity. Messages you post (with your lounge name and time), previews you choose to share, likes, reports you file (with the reason you pick) and visitors you mute.
- Reward records. When a song requires watching ads, Verse records which song settings the request is for and how many required ad completions were confirmed. Ads are not active yet (see below).
- Server logs. For security and abuse prevention our servers log requests: IP address, time, the page or API path (without query parameters) and the response status. Logs are kept for 30 days.
Verse uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website usage and performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage for analytics and is not used by Verse to track individual visitors across websites. Fonts and our own pages and assets are served from our own server.
How we use it
- To generate your songs and let only your session play the full tracks.
- To run the Render Lounge: showing messages, shared previews and like counts, and honouring your mutes (muted visitors are hidden only for you).
- To keep the service safe: rate limits, blocking spam and harmful content, reviewing reports, and investigating abuse.
What is public
- Lounge messages are visible to everyone visiting the Render Lounge, together with your anonymous lounge name and the time.
- A song is public only if you press Share: then a 15-second preview, its title, genre/mood/vocal tags and like count appear in the lounge. Finishing a song never shares it automatically.
- Full tracks are never public. Only the browser session that created a song can play its full track.
Song titles are taken from the first line of your lyrics, so do not put personal information in your lyrics or lounge messages.
AI generation
Songs are generated on our own server with the MiniMax-Music3 model. Your lyrics and settings are processed by that model on our hardware; they are not sent to a third-party AI service.
Service providers
Verse is delivered through Cloudflare, which carries the traffic between your browser and our server and may process technical data such as IP addresses to provide security and performance. Cloudflare acts as our infrastructure provider. Cloudflare also provides Verse's basic website analytics through Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Advertising (planned)
Verse plans to offer free songs in exchange for watching rewarded ads. No ads are shown today and no advertising partner receives data from Verse. Before ads are introduced we will update this policy to name the advertising partner, describe the cookies or identifiers it uses, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Retention
- Songs, previews, lounge messages, likes, reports and mutes are kept while the service operates, unless removed for violating our Terms or deleted on request.
- Server logs are kept for 30 days.
- The session cookie expires after about one year, or when you clear it in your browser. Clearing it ends access to the songs made in that session; Verse cannot restore it.
Your choices and rights
Verse has no self-service delete button yet. You can ask us to access, correct or delete data linked to your session, or to remove a message or shared preview, by writing to [email protected]. Because Verse is anonymous, we may need details that let us find your data (for example the lounge name, the message text and the approximate time). Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Children
Verse is not intended for children under 18. If you believe a child has shared personal information in the lounge, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
The session cookie is HttpOnly and sent only over HTTPS, the music engine is not reachable from the internet, and full tracks are served only to their owner session. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid putting personal information in lyrics or messages.
Changes
We will update this page when Verse changes how it handles data — in particular before rewarded ads are introduced — and change the “Last updated” date above.
